I want to share a glimpse into one woman’s world as an artist. A Montana artist. My life encompasses the incredible joy of seeing and capturing the images I see, but it also includes discipline, self-doubt, hard work and a fair share of rejection. I’d love to say that each painting is a masterpiece, but it is not. I have dozens of canvases I need to sand and paint over. Some are salvageable, but most need to be covered up. Imagine putting heart and soul into a painting only to discover that you’ve made a serious flaw and it will never become the quality painting you want it to be. You have to let go of your creation and start something new. For me, it takes determination and guts to let the painting go. It’s a good analogy to life. Sometimes we can’t undo the past and we need to let it go and make something new and better. May we all start with a fresh canvas today and paint something beautiful in our lives and the lives of others. Happy painting!
