Montana summers may be short but we pack them full of fun! Last weekend my husband and I took our 1978 trailer up to a high mountain lake and camped with his 75ish year old parents. We left 80 degree weather in town and ended up with cold, windy days and frost on the grass. I'm not sure what our elevation was, but apparently it was HIGH. We fished anyway and caught enough fish to feed a group of 10 on Sunday afternoon.
I painted a picture of a sunlit trail leading into the forest and as I painted joy filled my heart and brought tears to my eyes. I can't explain the tears except to say that I was thanking God for a perfect weekend with good food, sweet family memories and the opportunity to try and capture the beauty of his artwork on my canvas.
